Latest Update on Covid 19

Masks are no long mandatory at the Falher Library.

On Saturday February 26th, Premier Kenney announced that the Province is moving to Step Two of lifting Covid19 restrictions.

This means that any restrictions still impacting public libraries were lifted on Tuesday March 1st.

Alberta will enter Step 2 starting on March 1. At that time, the following measures will be updated.

    • Any remaining school requirements removed (for example: Kindergarten to grade 6 cohorting).
    • Youth screening activities for entertainment and sport activities removed.
    • Capacity on all large venues and entertainment venues lifted.
    • Indoor and outdoor social gathering limits lifted.
    • Mandatory work-from-home requirements lifted.
    • Provincial mask mandate will be lifted except in high-risk settings, including on public transit, at AHS-operated and contracted facilities, and all continuing care settings.

Thank you in advance for your support for, and compliance with new safety precautions.

Our Ability to provide public access depends on it, so please plan accordingly.

  • If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19, do not come to the Library. Contact staff at 780-837-2776 or 780-837-8009 (CERC) for alternatives.
  • Only the front door will be open. Everyone entering the main building must use hand sanitizer and wear a mask (we will provide). 6' social distancing applies.
  • A maximum of 4 people will be allowed in the library at a time.
  • Only two public computers will be available (for adult use only, max 30 min).
  • Staff will be working behind plexiglass sneeze barriers, and will put on masks when leaving their desks to assist patrons or CERC clients.
  • There will be no public access to the Coffee Corner, phone or washroom.
